Staff Tasting Comment:
“Though simple in appearance, the moment I tasted it, I felt ‘this is the flavor of Asakusa!’ The daigaku imo is crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Not overly sweet, and the natural sweetness of the sweet potato is well preserved. It’s a classic Asakusa street food and highly recommended. The syrup is rich and flavorful, and it’s still delicious even when cold—perfect as a late-night snack back at the hotel.”
